BONA FIDES

GEORGE F. ALLEN is an attorney offering litigation on behalf of employees and injured persons, and mediation as a neutral third party. As a litigator, I represent employees who have encountered problems at work: discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, whistleblowers, disability issues, civil service issues, and denial of overtime, meal breaks, minimum wage, and other employment rights. I also represent accident victims who have suffered personal injuries. On a very selective basis, I represent employers or individual employees who have been sued for employment-related matters. As a mediator, I serve as a trained, experienced and neutral third party to facilitate the settlement of employment and personal injury cases, before or after a lawsuit has been filed. I limit my practice to a small number of cases, and work closely and conscientiously with my clients. I have an excellent record of favorable verdicts and settlements as a litigator, and successful settlements as a mediator. I am a member of the California State Bar Labor & Employment Section, the California Employment Lawyers Association and the National Employment Lawyers Association. In addition to my work as an attorney and mediator, I have served as a Judge Pro Tem in Sacramento County Small Claims Court, Hearing Officer for the Sacramento County Civil Service Commission, Mediator for the Sacramento Human Rights/Fair Housing Commission, in conjunction with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and presenter on employment law issues for Continuing Education of the Bar, California Employment Lawyers Association, and Sacramento County Bar Association. Nope, that's not me running. The picture came with the web site, like when you buy a photo frame. I do not know where he is headed, but he looks very enthusiastic. Education: Marshall University, B.A., 1981; University of Tennessee, J.D. with High Honors, 1988. Thanks for your interest.
